Lucille McGee, 68, of Sour Lake died Wednesday, January 6, 2010.  Lucille was born in Pine Ridge on July 3, 1941, to Thearon and Hazel Lucille (Morgan) Griffin.  A lifelong resident of Sour Lake, she was a custodian with Sour Lake Motor Company and many other local businesses. She was a member of Grayburg Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son, Richard E. McGee and his wife Donna of Sour Lake; grandsons, John Dennis and his wife Nina of Russellville, Kentucky and Chris Dennis and his wife Jayne of Sour Lake; great grandchildren, Zackary, Ian, Isabelle, and Brody Dennis; sister, Mary Wells and her husband Kenneth of Ratcliff, Texas; brother, Morris Griffin and his wife Guillett of Louisiana; and special friends, Loretta Westmoreland, Alma Hebert, Gale Vanderwater, Anita Devillier, and Nat Gibbs.

Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 9, 2010, at Broussard’s, 530 W. Monroe, Kountze with Reverend Butch Perkins officiating.  Burial will follow at Pine Ridge Cemetery in Sour Lake. A gathering of family and friends will be Friday, January 8, 2010, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Broussard’s.
