Dewey Hebert Sr. 
April 3, 1924 - January 3, 2010

Dewey Hebert, Sr., 85 of Eunice, Louisiana, passed away Sunday, January 3, 2009 at Jennings American Legion Hospital.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2009 at Broussard Mortuary Chapel in Nederland, Texas with Reverend Randy Hammer officiating. Interment will be at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches, Texas. A gathering of family and friends will be Friday evening from 4-8:00 P.M.

Born in Palmetto, Louisiana, Mr. Hebert, Sr. has been a lifelong resident of Louisiana and owned Hebert’s Food Lane. He served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Dolories “Lola” Hebert.

Survivors include sons, Dewey Hebert, Jr. and wife Jean of Jacksonville, Florida; James C. “Jake” Hebert of Jacksonville, Florida; daughters, Carolyn Babcock and husband Galen of Orange, Texas; Angela Duplechin and husband Stewart of Nederland, Texas; 5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; sisters, Ella Laughlin of Elton, Louisiana; Genevieve “Noonie” Toups of New Iberia, Louisiana and numerous nieces and nephews.
