William "W.E." E. Bennefield, Jr. 
February 3, 1932 - January 4, 2010

W. E. Bennefield, Jr., 77, of Lumberton, died Monday, January 4, 2010, at Nacogdoches Medical Center in Nacogdoches.

 

W. E. was born in San Augustine, Texas and lived in Lumberton forty-four years.  He was a supervisor for Entex.  W. E. served his country in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany during the Korean War.

 

He is survived by his wife, Virginia Bennefield; sons, Mike Bennefield and his wife Donna Reynolds Bennefield of Lumberton and Darrell Scott Bennefield and his wife Melissa of Tatum; daughter-in-law, Donna Fondren Bennefield of Lumberton; eight grandchildren; one great grandchild; brother Charles Ray Bennefield of Port Neches; and half-sisters, Ann Burkhalder of Magnolia, Ludie Harris of Texarkana, and Euince Young of Dallas.

 

W. E. is preceded in death by his son, Charles Bennefield; parents, William Elmer, Sr. and Willie Mae Bennefield; half-sister, Bonnie Kelly; and half-brother, W. H. Bennefield.

 

A gathering of family and friends will be Thursday, January 7, 2010, 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee, Texas.
