Robert Earl Warren, 78, of Beaumont, went to be with the Lord January 3, 2010, in Beaumont after a long illness.
A native of Beaumont, Robert was born January 1, 1931, to Jesse D. and Willye Louis Warren and was the Beaumont “New Years Baby”. He graduated from South Park High School in 1949, and attended Lamar University before serving in the United States Army as a medic. Robert then went on to become the vice president of Memorial Hermann Beaumont Baptist Hospital until his retirement after thirty years of service.
He and his wife Glenda shared a love for antiques and traveling, which led him to conduct estate sales as an antique dealer after his retirement. Robert was a very creative person and loved to refinish furniture, paint landscapes and was an excellent cook.
Robert is survived by his wife of fifty-five years, Glenda Cline Warren; daughter, Jo Elizabeth Morrow and her husband Jim; sons, Robert Bruce Warren and his wife Evelina, and Jesse Dayton Warren and his wife Emily; and six grandchildren, Beau Morrow, Paul Morrow, Ben Morrow, Sam Warren, Meredith Warren, and Olivia Warren.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 6, 2010, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. A gathering of his family and friends will be from 1:00 p.m. until the service time, Wednesday, at the mortuary.
