Johnnie Sue Dixon, 71, of Broaddus, Texas and formerly of Nederland, passed away Friday, January 1, 2010 at Memorial Hermann Health System in Lufkin.    A memorial service will be held at 2 pm Wednesday, January 6, 2010 in the chapel of Broussard’s in Nederland with Bro. Frank Hodges officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be from 1 pm to service time at 2pm at the mortuary.   Mrs. Dixon was a native of El Dorado, Arkansas and lived in Broaddus for the last twenty years. She was an office manager in the construction industry and was a member of her high school basketball team in El Dorado. She will be remembered as a lady who enjoyed sewing, working in her garden and watching sports. She was a lady who enjoyed her family very much, especially her grandson Garrett.    Mrs. Dixon is survived by her son, Mial McLeod and his wife Michelle of Nederland; grandson, Garrett McLeod of Nederland and her extended family, Joe and Cherlyn Benoit, Richard and Lynn Welch and children and Joseph Benoit Jr. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mial and Inez Murphy.
