Debbie Hand Firmin, 51, of Nederland passed away Saturday, January 2, 2010 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont. She was born in Port Arthur, Texas to Betty Hand and the late Hebert Hand on September 11, 1958.

Funeral service will be 10 am Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at Broussard’s Mortuary in Nederland. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5 to 9 pm Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at the mortuary.

Debbie worked for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice- Gist Unit as a mail room supervisor.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Gloria Reynolds. She is survived by her daughters, Stormy Wright and husband, Jeffrey of Groves and Shelby Firmin and fiancé, John Johnson of Nacogdoches; grandchildren, Payton Ann Wright and StellaJohn Johnson; sister, Sandi Welch and husband, Kenny of Groves and numerous loving nieces and nephews.
