Gary Wayne Parker, known as “Jap”, 49, of Warren died Tuesday, December 29, 2009, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.  Gary was born December 25, 1960, in Kountze to Elbert and Wanda Lou (Murray) Parker.  A twenty year resident of Warren, he was an equipment operator with Burrell Trucking in Evadale.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy Jewell Parker of Warren; son, Brandon Dwayne Parker of Warren; daughter, Lisa Nicole Coleman and her husband Rodney Wayne of Warren; four grandchildren, Alyssa Nicole Parker, Kylee BreAnn Parker, Braden Dwayne Parker, and Cami Jewel Coleman; sister, Diane Sales of Rusk; and brothers, Pete Sales, Randy Parker, and Leroy Parker all of Honey Island.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 1, 2010, at Broussard’s, 530 W. Monroe, Kountze with Reverend Ritchard Bean and Reverend Jim Cryer officiating.  Burial will follow at William Hart Cemetery in Kountze.  A gathering of family and friends will be Thursday, December 31, 2009, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the mortuary.
