Lola Mae Perkins, 71, of Silsbee, died Wednesday, December 30, 2009, at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.

A native of McAlester, Oklahoma, Lola lived in the Silsbee for fifty years and had worked at Kirby-LA Pacific in Silsbee. 

She is survived by her children, Edna Louise Woods and her husband Kenny Miller of Silsbee, Dorothy Purvis all of Silsbee, Elizabeth Keene and her husband Oliver of Spurger, Melinda Perkins Crawford and her husband Mike, Pauline Fawvor and her husband John, and Robert Perkins and his wife Michele all of Silsbee; step-sons, Larry Perkins and his wife Vivian of Houston and Webster Steve Perkins and his wife Cheryl of Evansville, Indiana; daughter-in-law, Patricia Perkins; thirty-two grandchildren; fourty-two great grandchildren; sister, Bessie Smith of Oklahoma; and brother, Robert Smith of Oklahoma.

Lola is preceded in death by her husband, Webster Perkins, Sr. and son, Buddy Perkins.

Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 2, 2010, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee with burial to follow at Hooks-Cravey Cemetery in Silsbee.  A gathering of family and friends will be Saturday, January 2, 2010, 12:00 noon until time of service.
