Donald Ray Matthews, 55, of Donald was a life long resident of the area and was a construction worker. He is survived by his mother, Frances Matthews; brother, Cary Matthews and his wife Marla; sisters, Joan Matthews and Judy Dunkleberger and her husband Todd; and nieces and nephews, Jay, Brantley, Jennifer, and Marie Matthews, Stacy Hinch and her husband Josh, and Ryan Dunkleberger all of Lumberton. Donald is preceded in death by his father, W. C. “Bill” Matthews and brother, Jerry Matthews. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to First Baptist Church Loeb, 3082 Hwy. 69 South, Lumberton, Texas 77657. A memorial service will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 31, 2009, at First Baptist Church Loeb of Lumberton.
