Evelyn Frankland, 99, of High Island died December 28, 2009, at the Arboretum Nursing Home in Winnie.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 31, 2009, at Broussard’s Chapel, 134 W. Buccaneer Drive, in Winnie with burial in High Island Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will be 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Frankland is survived by her son, James Frankland of High Island; brother, Milton “Mickey” Shaw of Anahuac; eight grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; thirteen great-great-grandchildren and numerous relatives and friends.
