Paul Bayard, Jr., 56 of Nederland died Thursday, December 24, 2009, at The Medical Center of S.E.TX.    A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Nederland with Msgr. Dan Malain officiating. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Port Arthur. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00-8:00 P.M. Tuesday at Broussard’s in Nederland with a Christian Vigil service at 6:00 P.M.   Mr. Bayard, Jr. was a born in Port Arthur and has been a life long resident of the area. After his retirement from Mobil Oil, he worked in the construction industry as a commercial and residential inspector. He was a classic car and Harley enthusiast and enjoyed working with wood, and trips to Las Vegas. Paul loved his animals and if he had the time in the afternoons, he might sit back and watch his favorite soap opera, “Day’s of Our Lives.”    He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Mary Bayard, Sr. Surviving Mr. Bayard, Jr. are his wife, Linda Bayard of Nederland; son, Paul Bayard III of Nederland; brothers, Pete Bayard and his wife Robbie of Palestine and Ernest Bayard and his wife Marian of Vidor; step-daughter, Jamie Villanueva and her husband Conrad of Missouri; step-son, Vincent Wells of Nederland; grandson, C.J. Villanueva and many nieces and nephews.
