Oline Laborde Richard, 79, of Nederland, passed away Saturday, December 26, 2009 at the Friendship Haven Health Care Rehabilitation in Friendswood.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Nederland with Msgr. Dan Malain officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves under the direction of Broussard’s in Nederland. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5 to 8 PM Monday with a scriptural rosary to be recited at 6:00 PM at the mortuary.

Mrs. Richard was a native of Marksville, Louisiana and lived in Nederland and Port Arthur since 1948.She was a homemaker and a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Nederland.

Mrs. Richard is preceded in death by her first husband and the father of her children, Nolan J. Laborde, and her husband, Allen C. Richard. Also her daughter, Donna Laborde, and son Michael Laborde.  She is survived by her daughters, Susan Cessac and husband Oscar of Crosby, and Jo Anne Laborde of Pearland. Also her sister, Bernadine Kinney of Jennings, Louisiana. Two grandchildren, Eric Cooley, and Andy Cessac; two great grandchildren, Seth Cooley, and Logan Cooley.
