Talmadge Leon Hardy, 86, of Beaumont, died Wednesday, December 16, 2009, at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth in Beaumont.
He was born on July 28, 1923, in Robeline, Louisiana to Leola Cox and Archie Hardy. Talmadge has lived in the Beaumont area since 1946 and he was a member of the Latter Day Saints. Mr. Hardy retired from Kansas City Southern Railroad and was a member of the Masonic Lodge 286 in Beaumont. He was a United States Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife of sixty-four years, Kathleen Hardy of Beaumont; sons, Bobbie Lynn Hardy and his wife Helen Sue of Fairfield, California, Jerry Lane Hardy and his wife Litha of Silsbee and Terry Wayne Hardy, Sr. of Silsbee; daughter, Debra Kay McDaniel and her husband Mark of Timpson; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 19, 2009, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont with burial to follow at Farmers Cemetery in Silsbee under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A gathering of his family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday, December 18, 2009, at Broussard’s.
