Curtis Gloston, 81, of Anahuac died December 15, 2009 at the Hermann Memorial Hospital in Houston. He lived in Anahuac all of his life and worked as a mechanic for Chambers County before retiring.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 19, 2009 at the First Missionary Baptist Church, in Anahuac with burial to follow in the Anahuac Cemetery under the direction of Broussard’s, 134 W. Buccaneer Drive in Winnie. A gathering of family and friends will be from noon until 2:00 p.m. at the church.
Mr. Gloston is survived by his daughters, Sheila Gloston-Harris of Anahuac, Thania Gloston of Abilene; step-children, Carolyn Jackson-Pickens, Freddie Pope; grandchildren, Clinton Harris, Chandler Pickens, Grant Pipkens; son-in-law, Gary Harris of New Orleans, Louisiana; nineteen nieces and nephews; twenty-six great-nieces and great-nephews and numerous relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by parents, Hardy and Ardella Gloston; sister, Leastrice Meekins; brothers, Leonard Gloston, Sr. and Jerry Gloston.
