Lonnie A. Roberts, 65, of Silsbee, died Thursday, December 10, 2009, at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital in Beaumont.

Lonnie was born in Beaumont and was a lifelong resident of the area.  He was a retired truck driver and pipe fitter.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Jo Roberts; children, Loni Roberts Herrington and her husband Ricky of Silsbee, Codi Roberts Hancock and her husband Jody of Lumberton, and Kerri Roberts Oliver and her husband Chris of Hemphill; step-son, Stephen Marlow and his wife Gloria of Loxley, Alabama; grandchildren, Kade Morgan, Daniel Hancock, Joseph Hancock, Kenzi Oliver, and Stephen Marlow, Jr.; brother, Charles Roberts of San Marcus; sisters, Brenda Roberts Aulds and her husband Harold and Rhonda Emfinger all of Wimberly, Texas; sisters-in-law, Sally Jones, Peggy Bowman, Beth Stivender, and Pam Metcalf; brother-in-law, William Neely; and mother, Cora Wiggins Roberts.

Lonnie is preceded in death by his father, R. V. Roberts; and sister, Carol Roberts.

Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M., Saturday, December 12, 2009, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee with burial to follow at Davis Cemetery in Kirbyville.  A gathering of family and friends will be Saturday, December 12, 2009, 10:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
