Mary Eileen Torske Ensign, 47, of Sour Lake died Monday, December 07, 2009, at her residence.  Mary was born in Beatrice, Nebraska on April 23, 1962, to Don C. and Janice E. (Payne) Torske.  A resident of Sour Lake for twenty-three years, she was co-owner of Sour Lake Movie Club.

She is survived by her husband, Walter Ensign of Sour Lake; son, Michael Torske of Sour Lake; mother, Janice Funderburg of Beatrice, Nebraska; brother, David Torske and his partner Rhonda of Beatrice, Nebraska; sisters, Darla Little of Beatrice, Nebraska and Lori Wolf and her husband Tom of Blue Springs, Nebraska; sister-in-law, Jean Landry and her husband J.W. of Warren, brothers-in-law, Charles Ensign and his wife Janet of Woodville and Wayne Ensign; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her father, Don Torske, step-father, Chuck Funderburg; and brother, John A. Torske.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 9, 2009, at First Baptist Church of Sour Lake with Reverend Ken Ellzey and Reverend Bill Fabriguze officiating.  A gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday, December 8, 2009, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Broussard’s, 530 W. Monroe, Kountze.  Additional funeral services will be held at Laughlin Hoevet Funeral Home in Wymore, Nebraska.
