Buck Brookshire, 84, of Beaumont died December 6, 2009, at Harbor Hospice House in Beaumont. He was born January 31, 1925, in Burkeville, Texas. Mr. Brookshire was an electrician for IBEW 479 for forty years and a member of South Park Masonic Lodge 1320.

Buck is survived by his wife, Trevelyn Brookshire of Beaumont; sons, Elic Brookshire Llewellyn and his wife Susan of North Carolina and Charles Brookshire and his wife Debbie of Sour Lake; two grandchildren, Carly Ross and her husband Rick of Harker Heights, Texas and Chris Brookshire and his wife Tosha of San Antonio; two great grandchildren, Caleb and Brooke Ross; brother-in-law, Amberst Woods; nephews, Orvis Woods and his wife Bula, James Rabe and his wife Ann and William Rabe and his wife Alma; and many loving friends from Burkeville.

Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, December 11, 2009, at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin. A graveside service will be 3:00 P.M. Friday, December 11, 2009, at Indian Bayou Methodist Cemetery in Indian Bayou, Louisiana. A gathering of his family and friends will be Thursday, December 10, 2009, from 4:30 P.M. until 7:30 P.M. at the mortuary.
