Juanita Lynn Sammons, 71, of Buna, died Wednesday, December 2, 2009 in Lumberton.

A native of Kirbyville, Juanita lived in Buna all her life where she was a member of Buna United Pentecostal Church and a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Carroll Edward Sammons; children, Melissa McKinnon and her husband David, Rodney Sammons and his wife Debbie, Marcus Sammons and his wife Charlotte, Carolyn Holloway and her husband Raymond, all of Buna; sisters, Julia Barba of League City and Francis Wood of Buna; brother, Edward Turner, Jr. of Bon Wier; seven grandchildren; and one great grandson.

Juanita is preceded in death by her parents, Dempsey and Dossie Turner.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 4, 2009, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee, with burial to follow at Antioch Cemetery in Buna.  A gathering of family and friends will be Thursday, December 3, 2009, 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
