Nancy Hidalgo 
December 5, 1920 - December 1, 2009

Nancy D. Hidalgo, 88, of Beaumont died December 1, 2009 at her residence.  A native and lifelong resident of Beaumont, Mrs. Hidalgo was a volunteer for ten years at Some Other Place and a lifelong member of St. Anthony Cathedral Basilica.  She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and very devoted to her family, and a devout Christian who loved the Lord.

 

She is survived by her sons, Gary Hidalgo and his wife Pam of Pinewood, Philip Hidalgo and his wife Josie of China and Mark Hidalgo and his wife Kay of Beaumont; daughters, Susan Davis and her husband Charlie of San Augustine, Elizabeth Williams and her husband Billy of Beaumont, and Becky Holcomb and her husband Terry of Silsbee; sister-in-law, Wilda Hart; grandchildren, Charlie Davis, Jr., Venisha Fontenot, Steven Williams, Cory Hidalgo, Tyson Hidalgo, Chris Hidalgo, Jeremy Hidalgo, Jami Pelt, Tiffany Ashcraft, Justin Hidalgo, and Lindsey Holcomb; fourteen great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her loving husband of fifty-six years, Robert Hidalgo; parents, Christopher and Virginia Distefano Dragotta; and sisters and brothers.

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 7, 2009 at St. Anthony Cathedral Basilica followed by burial at Magnolia Cemetery under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 N Major Drive, Beaumont.  A gathering of family and friends will be Sunday evening, December 6, 2009 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Christian Vigil at 7:00 p.m. at Broussard’s.
