Leslie Richard Washenfelder, 53 of Nederland, passed away Sunday, November 29, 2009 at his residence.

A graveside funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, December 3, 2009 at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches with Reverend Malcolm Monroe officiating services are under the direction of Broussard’s in Nederland.

Leslie was a native of Casper, Wyoming and has lived in Nederland since 1966. He worked as a security officer and was an avid sports enthusiast.

He was preceded in death by his father Dave Washenfelder, Sr.

Leslie is survived by his mother, Rosamond E. Washenfelder of Nederland; brothers, David Washenfelder, Jr. and his wife Betty of Nederland; Bob Washenfelder and his wife Debbie of Nederland; sisters, Rosamond R. Washenfelder of Nederland; Elizabeth Breaux and her husband Cordell of Tyler; Joan Sheehan and her husband Mike of Nederland and a host of nieces and nephews.
