Harlan Hugh Black, 80, of Village Mills, died Monday, November 30, 2009, at Vidor Health and Rehabilitation Center in Vidor.

Harlan has lived in the area since 1950 and was a pipe fitter.  He was also a member of the Madison Masonic Lodge, #126 in Orange.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanette Black; children, Stephen Black and his wife Donna of Village Mills and Curtis Black and his wife Elizabeth of Peoria, Illinois; grandchildren, Prentice Black and his wife Deedra of Bridge City, Shaun Black and his wife Danelle of Lumberton, and Caleb Black and his wife Ashly of Village Mills; and great grandchildren, Summer Black, Cade Black, and Natalie Black.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 2, 2009, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee.  A gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday, December 1, 2009, 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
