Joe W. Priddy, 84, of Beaumont, died Sunday, November 29, 2009. A native of Locust Bayou, Arkansas and a resident of Beaumont for over sixty years, Joe retired from Gulf Oil Company in Port Arthur after thirty-three years of service as a supervisor. He was also a United States Army veteran, having served during World War II and the Korean War. Joe attained the rank of Chief Warrant Officer in the Army Reserves in which he served thirty-six years.
His wife, Irene Priddy; and son, Joe W. Priddy, Jr. preceded him in death.
Joe is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; a loving Christian family at South Park Church of Christ; and his loving pets, Snoopy and Bambi.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 2, 2009, at South Park Church of Christ with interment to follow at Magnolia Cemetery under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont. A gathering of his family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 1, 2009, at the mortuary.
