William George Storey, 70, of Saratoga died on Sunday, November 29, 2009 at Kountze Nursing Center surrounded by his loving family. William was born in Batson, Texas on July 5, 1939 to John Benjamin and Minnie Alma (Carouthers) Storey. A resident of the Hardin County area all of his life, he was a retired oilfield worker.

William is survived by his children, Veronica Wilson and her husband Stormy of Saratoga, Christie Gieseke and her husband Stephen of Sour Lake and Timothy Storey of Saratoga; grandchildren, Courtney Wilson, Matthew Wilson, Jared Gieseke, Hannah Gieseke and Lyndsey Gieseke; a brother, Robert Storey of Saratoga and a sister, Mary Clark of Batson.

Funeral service will be 2 P.M. Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at Broussard’s in Kountze with Reverend Drifty Cates officiating. Burial will follow at Felps Cemetery in Thicket. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, December 1, 2009 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Broussard’s.
