Robert William Quick, Sr., 93, of Vidor died Wednesday, November 25, 2009, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont.

A native of Marshall and resident of the Vidor since 1954, Robert was a retired butcher with Woods Supermarket in Vidor. He was a United States Coast Guard veteran having served in World War II.

Survivors include his sons, Robert Quick, Jr. and his wife Sue of Belton, and David H. Quick and his wife Paula of Jasper; daughter, Sue Doucet of Bevil Oaks; twelve grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; and very special friend, Dovie Frederick.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Genetta L. Quick; seven brothers, and one sister.

His funeral service will be 4:00 p.m. Saturday, November 28, 2009, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont with a gathering of his family and friends beginning at 2:00 p.m. Saturday prior to the service.  A graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Sunday, November 29, 2009, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
