DeAnn Margaret Huhn, 53, of Beaumont, died Monday, November 23, 2009, at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth in Beaumont.

A native of Iola, Kansas and a resident of the Beaumont area for twenty-seven years, DeAnn taught 1st grade at Pietzsch MacArthur Elementary for seventeen years.

Survivors include her husband, Michael J. Huhn of Beaumont; daughters, Barbara Forquer and her husband Sean of Robinson, and Michelle Johanningsmeier and her husband Benjamin of Albuquerque, New Mexico; grandchildren, Caitlin Amanda Forquer, and Gillian Marie Johanningsmeier; brothers, Stephen St. Clair, and Kenneth St. Clair; sister, Susan Owens; and many loving nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her sister, Judith Grittman; and her parents, Freda and Cecil St. Clair.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 25, 2009, at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, 6825 Gladys Avenue, Beaumont under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. 

A graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 28, 2009, at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Lansing, Kansas under the direction of Leintz Funeral Home, 4701 10th Avenue, in Leavenworth, Kansas. A gathering of her family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. with a Christian Vigil at 5:30 p.m. Friday, November 27, 2009, at the Funeral Home.
