Ivy P. Richard “MaMa” Keneson, 93, of Beaumont, died Monday, November 23, 2009, at Memorial Hermann Beaumont Baptist Hospital. A native of Milton, Louisiana, MaMa was born September 9, 1916, and was a resident of LaBelle for most of her life.  She worked for Pine Tree Lodge and Mae’s Fish Camp.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Clyde Richard; second husband, Matt Keneson; daughters, Velma Holcomb, Nora Webb, Helen Sharp, Rita Richard and Mary Williamson; sisters, Mable Levy, Lou Mae McKinney and Thelma Parks; brother, Wilton Primeaux; and grandson, Charles Howard.

MaMa is survived by her sons, Maurice Richard of Fannett and Joe Richard and his wife Barbara of LaBelle; daughter, Susan Keneson LeBlanc of LaBelle; stepsons, Wendell Keneson and his wife Charlotte of Kingwood and Walter Keneson and his wife Dana of Beaumont; twenty-one grandchildren, Mike Holcomb, Robbie Holcomb, Richard Holcomb, Janis Holcomb Rice, Gail Holcomb Townsend, Cheryl Holcomb Rubio, Pam Howard, Clyde Howard, Retha Palmer, Rita Bean, Carol McCauley, Patsy Mason, Steve Stutes, Lane Stutes, Lance Richard, Joseph Richard, Sr., Brian Richard, Cory LeBlanc, Kristen LeBlanc, Matt Keneson, Mark Keneson, Bridget Keneson, Grace Goins; thirty-one great-grandchildren, Holly Holcomb Martinez, Beth Holcomb, Rickilynn Holcomb, Hailey Holcomb, Olivia Holcomb, Vanessa Holcomb, Michelle Condon, Jake McCauley, Allyson Townsend, Blake Townsend, Shaun Rubio, Charlie Howard, Brandon Howard, Deena Stanley, Curtis Proutt, Carla Culver, Randy Lemke, Christie McBride, Christina Savant, Mandy McCauley, Cody Davis, Josh Davis, Shelby, Chelsea and Matthew Mason, Tyler Richard, Chloe Richard, Kaylie Richard, Logan Richard, Justin Richard, Colton LeBlanc, Maisie Keneson, Jacob Keneson, Brooke Guynes, Bryce Guynes, John Goins, Corey Goins, and Lucas Keneson; and fifteen great-great-grandchildren, Carmon Martinez, Gracie Martinez, Lucas Holcomb, Gage Howard, Tye Stanley, Savannah Smith, Cambrie Proutt, Jaycee Culver, Madison Culver, Hayley Lemke, Jayden Barranger, Alexis Gallier, Layton Savant, Kennady McCauley, and Emma Davis.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 28, 2009, at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church, with interment to follow at Burrell Cemetery under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont. A gathering of family and friends will be Friday evening, November 27, 2009, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a rosary recited at 5:00 p.m., at the mortuary.
