Virginia Elizabeth Bartlett Sperling, 61, of Silsbee, Texas and formerly of Brunswick, Georgia, died Monday, November 23, 2009, at Harbor Hospice House in Beaumont.
Virginia was born in Hinesville, Georgia and lived in Silsbee for the past ten years where she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, William M. Sperling; son, Timothy Bartlett of Beaumont, Texas; brothers, Ernest McLamb, Jr. and his wife Lynda of Popwellville, Georgia and Philip McLamb and his wife Debbie of Jonesboro, Georgia; and sister, Lucy Kaylor and her husband Curtis of Carrollton, Georgia.
Virginia is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest, Sr. and Jessie Frances McLamb; brothers, Marion McLamb and Cagle McLamb; and sister, Gail McLamb.

A service of remembrance will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 28, 2009, with Elder Jose’ Serrano of Sovereign Grace Baptist Church, Silsbee, Texas officiating, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. A gathering of family and friends will be Saturday, November 28, 2009, 1:00 p.m. until time of service. Burial will be at McLamb Cemetery, “God Made a Little Corner”, in Popwellville, Georgia at a later date.
