Delia "Dee" Arciva Lozano 
January 9, 1942 - November 21, 2009

Delia “Dee” Arciva Lozano, 67, of Beaumont, passed away November 21, 2009, at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth. Delia was born January 9, 1942, in Port Arthur and was one of five children born to Arnulfo and Angelina Arciva and was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School.

 

Her life was the epitome of courage for all the illnesses she endured, a vision to see her children grown, and her deep faith knowing that one day she would have eternal rest in the arms of her heavenly Father. Dee, in her mostly silent world, was blessed to have creative ideas. She was a florist, a seamstress, loved crafts and going to flea markets, but her true passion was being with her family. She will be missed by all whose lives she touched.

 

Survivors include her husband, John Lozano, Sr. of Beaumont; son, John Lozano, Jr. and his wife Rosemary of Houston; daughter, Lisa Lozano Jones and her husband Gene of Beaumont; grandchildren, Grant Lozano and Mariah Lozano both of Houston, and Kali Lozano, Shantal “Babyoil” Acclis, and KaShaun Prince Jones all of Beaumont; sisters, Rosita Arciva Day of Groves and Ester Arciva Elizondo and her husband Albert of Port Arthur; brothers, Arnulfo Arciva, Jr. of Port Neches and Robert Arciva of Groves; step-grandchildren, Sarah, Rebecca and Amanda Ozuna; special friend, Beckah Brown and her children Cierra and Micah Brown; several nieces and nephews; and her loving dog, Diamond.

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 25, 2009, at St. Anne Catholic Church, 2715 Calder, Beaumont with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A gathering of her family and friends will be Tuesday, November 24, 2009, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m. at Broussard’s. Pallbearers will be Albert Elizondo, Chuck Elizondo, Thomas Day, Jr., Arnulfo Arciva, Jr., Robert Arciva, and Floyd Zuckero.
