Joyce Fertitta, 84, a lifelong resident of Beaumont, passed away Thursday, November 19, 2009, in Stafford, Texas.

She is survived by her husband of sixty-six years, Johnny Fertitta; children, Jenny Anne Bordelon and her husband Rene Bordelon, Mary Margaret Busceme, Conrad Fertitta and Gary Barnes, Darlene Fertitta and John J. Fertitta, Jr.; grandchildren, Lauren Busceme, Shelly Busceme White, Sean Bordelon, Bridget Bordelon Polster and Joseph Bordelon; five great grandchildren; brothers, John Mack Romere of Sugarland, and Charles Romere of Winnie.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 21, 2009, at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A gathering of her family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m. Friday, November 20, 2009, at Broussard’s.

I, Johnny Fertitta, will always remember a cherished smile from my wife just before she ended her journey.
