Frances Collier, 78, of Nederland, passed away Monday, November 9, 2009 at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur.   Funeral service is scheduled for 11 am Thursday, November 12, 2009 in the chapel of Broussard’s in Nederland with Rev. Dan Malain officiating. Graveside service will be 3 pm Thursday, November 12, 2009 in Beech Creek Cemetery in Spurger. A gethering of family and friends will begin at 10 am until service time at 11 am, Thursday, November 12, 2009 at the mortuary. Serving as pallbearers will be Patrick, Matthew and Nicholas Collier, Russell Deshotels and honorary pallbearer, Zachary Collier.    Mrs. Collier was a resident of the Nederland area for over 55 years and worked as a meat wrapper at Alford’s Market Basket retiring after many years of service. She will be remembered as a person who enjoyed bowling and dancing. Mrs. Collier is survived by her son, Jackie Collier and his wife Patricia of Nederland; nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; brother, Gene Williams of Arlington; sisters, Juanita Dean of Groves and Billie Griersner of Corpus Christi. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Collier, her daughter, Lana Kay Collier and her son Russell Collier.
