Brenda Gail Gore, 57, of Silsbee died November 8, 2009, at Kountze Nursing Center. Brenda was born October 11, 1952, in Kountze to Walter Lee “Buddy Joe” and Mildred J. (Rhodes) Lewis. Having spent her life in the Kountze area, she was a retired nurse from Kountze Nursing Center.

She is survived by her husband, Rusty Gore, Jr. of Silsbee; son, Donnie Clowers and his wife Belinda of Honey Island; daughter, Amanda Wacasey and her husband David of Kountze; stepchildren, Kurt Gore and his wife Jennie of Austin, Amber Favors and her husband Jack of Silsbee, Aaron Gore and his wife LeAnn of Silsbee, and Kristy Gore of Silsbee; brothers, Roger Dale Lewis of Toledo Bend, Joe Oscar Lewis of Kountze, and Ronnie Lee Lewis of Kountze; sisters, Bonnie Mae Smart of Kountze and Geneva Akers of Beaumont; grandchildren, Krista Clowers, Markus Clowers, Colton Clowers, Savannah Wacasey, Brookelynn Wacasey, and Dawson Wacasey; step grandchildren, Joshua Favors, Lane Gore and Mason Gore.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Walter Gene Lewis and her sister Martha “Sissy” Rowell.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at Broussard’s, 530 W. Monroe, Kountze with Reverend Ronnie Morrow and Mrs. Susan Detweiler officiating. Burial will follow at Hooks Cemetery in Kountze. A gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday, November 10, 2009, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the mortuary.
