Christy Jean Palmer Broussard, 57 of Nederland, died Monday, November 2, 2009 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2:00 PM, Friday, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Nederland, with the Reverend Dan Malain officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. A gathering of family and friends will be Thursday evening from 5:00-8:00 PM at Broussard’s in Nederland with a Christian Vigil Service at 6:30 PM.

Mrs. Broussard was born in Beaumont, and has lived in the Mid-County area all of her life. Christy was extremely talented in arts, crafts and decorating. She worked as an administrator for 15 years with South West Texas Home Health in Bridge City. For those who really knew her, she loved her Malteepoo “Jules” very much.

Christy was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Paula Palmer.

Survivors include her husband of 36 years, Raymond Broussard of Nederland; daughter Carrie DeLea Broussard of Houston; son, Ryan Christopher Broussard of Nederland; brother, Dr. Wesley Dean Palmer and wife Donna of Bridge City; niece and nephew, Katy and Billy Palmer of Bridge City; brother-in-law, Roland Broussard and sister-in-law Linda Nunez and husband Tony.
