Garland Broussard, 67, of Beaumont died Tuesday, November 3, 2009, at Memorial Hermann Beaumont Baptist Hospital. A native of Plaisance, Louisiana and a longtime resident of Beaumont, Garland worked in shipping and receiving for Oil City Brass.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Broussard; sons, Garland Kristerfer Broussard of Plano, Matthew Garland Broussard, Jonathan Wingate and Joshua Wingate; daughter, Jaylynn Wingate; brother, Wilson Broussard; sisters, Hazel Young, and Mildred Smith all of Beaumont and Viola Miller of Opelousas, Louisiana; and three grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 7, 2009, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont with Mr. Ronald Joubert officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, at the mortuary until the time of service.

Cremation arrangements are being held under the direction of Broussard’s.
