Jason Ray Trahan, 35, of Nederland passed away Sunday, November 1, 2009 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.

Funeral service will be 1 pm Thursday, November 5, 2009 in the chapel of Broussard’s in Nederland with Revs. Kirk Ellender and Brad Morgan officiating. Graveside service will be 3 pm Thursday, November 5, 2009 at Head of the Hollow Cemetery in Johnson’s Bayou, Louisiana. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5 to 8 pm Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at the mortuary.

Jason was a native of Sulphur, Louisiana and lived in the Nederland area since 2006. He was a barge mechanic.

Jason is survived by his mother and step father, Mary Alyce and Glen Ouslay of Kenefick; son, Dylan Trahan of DeRidder, Louisiana; sisters, Kelli Rhame and husband Mike of Nederland, Kristina Estrello and husband Danny of Nederland, Sunny Jean Trahan of Hackberry, Louisiana and Jaime Broussard and husband Chris of Missouri City; brother Justin Blake Trahan of Nederland and his best friend, Roberta Trahan of Nederland; nieces and nephews, Katelyn, Victoria and Tre Smith, Allyson Jaubert and Chloe and Nathan Broussard and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Sonny Boy Trahan. Jason will be especially missed by his faithful four legged companion Libby.
