Melissa Elaine Cheshire, 39, of Kountze died November 1, 2009, at Tyler County Hospital in Woodville. Melissa was born January 10, 1970, in Kountze to James B. and Frances (Lusk) Cheshire. A lifelong resident of Kountze, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her parents, James “Dynamite” and Frances Cheshire of Kountze; sons, Bryan Jacob “B.J.” Arabie of Village Mills and Taylor Shane Fregia of Kountze; brothers and sisters, Deborah Ann Overstreet and her husband Byron of Broaddus, Cindy Reed and her husband David of Kountze, Diane Wilson and her husband Rodney of Kountze, Tina Marie Stanley and her husband Larry of Grapeland, James D. Cheshire and his wife Donna of Kountze, William Clinton Cheshire and his wife Erica of Beaumont; nine nieces and nephews; fifteen great nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by her son, Christopher Shane Cheshire.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 4, 2009, at Broussard’s 530 W. Monroe, Kountze with Reverend Joe Patterson officiating. Burial will follow at Old Hardin Cemetery in Kountze. A gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday, November 3, 2009, from 5:00 p.m. until. 8:00 p.m. at the mortuary.
