Darlene “DD” Anne Conner Blakesley, 60, of Lumberton, died Tuesday, October 27, 2009, at Memorial Hermann Baptist Beaumont Hospital.

She was born July 30, 1949, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Mary Frances Gulli Conner and William Coda Conner.  Darlene grew up in the Beaumont area, moved to Seattle in 1990 where she lived for many years and resided in Lumberton for the last fifteen months. She graduated from French High School Alumni in 1967 and was a retired Human Resource Manager for K-Mart with twenty-seven years of service.

Survivors include her husband of nine years, Robert Blakesley; children, Christina Kanakis, Christy Brandelli and her husband Brian, Jessica Blakesley, Bradley Blakesley, and Brandon Blakesley; sister, Cheryl Conner; niece, Kim Conner-Heck; sister, Sharon Conner Langston and her husband Larry; nephew, Cody Seay  and his wife Lydia; brother, Billy Conner and his wife Melinda, nephew, Coda Conner; aunt, Elizabeth Coons; and cousin, Richard Coons and his wife Carol.

She was preceded in death by both of her parents.

A gathering of her family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, October 29, 2009, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.  A private family committal service will be held at Broussard’s Crematorium.
