Joan Gladys Manos 
January 22, 1939 - October 22, 2009

Joan Gladys Manos, 70, of Crystal Beach, Texas passed away on October 22, 2009, at her residence in Winnie.

 

She was born Joan Gladys Morin on January 22, 1939, to Lucille and Francis Morin in Detroit, Michigan, but lived most of her life in Southeast Texas. Joan loved being a real estate agent and helped in the start up of Swede's Real Estate Company in Crystal Beach and continued to work at Swede's until she retired.  

A funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 25, 2009, at Broussard’s Chapel, 134 W. Buccaneer Drive, in Winnie with burial to follow in Crystal Beach Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Saturday with a rosary recited at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

 

Joan is survived by, Gus Manos; sons, Sammy Valastro, Frank Valastro and his wife Pricilla all of Groves, Tony Valastro and his wife Claudia of Winnie, John Valastro and his wife Kathy of Lumberton; daughter, Pamela Durden and her husband Roger of Austin; brothers Charles Morin and his wife Sharon and Francis J. Morin and his wife Henrietta all of Sterling Heights, MI.; grandchildren, Amy, Brandy, Lauren, Lesley, Alyssa, Allison, Luke and numerous relatives and friends.
