Elois Grantham Battenfield Woolf, 1930-2009, went to be with her Lord on October 20, 2009 at her residence in Nederland. “Lois” as she was lovingly known, was preceded in death by her parents, Lellage and Vernell (Adcock) Grantham; son, Malcolm “Mac” Battenfield and a granddaughter, Christi Battenfield. She leaves her husband, Larry Woolf; sons Larry Battenfield and wife Lorraine, Rodney Battenfield and wife Karen all of Nederland; 7 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; step-children, Kenneth and Pam Woolf; Sara Grudier; 6 step-grandchildren; 2 step-great grandchildren; sisters, Murle Steponovich and husband Monte of San Antonio; Laverne Meeks and husband Joe of Rayville, Louisiana; Bobbye McGill and husband Bob of Jonesboro, Arkansas. “Lois” was a member of the First Assembly of God Church of Nederland. She was a retired nurse, and later worked at the Senior Citizens Center of Port Neches. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, October 23, 2009 at the First Assembly of God Church in Nederland with Reverend Kenneth Woolf officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches under the direction of Broussard’s in Nederland. A gathering of family and friends will be Thursday evening from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the mortuary. Serving as pallbearers are, Chad, Chris, Ryan and Tyler Battenfield, also Dan Clopton and honorary pallbearer Jeremy Battenfield. |
