Joan “Ada” Turner, 77, of China, died Monday, October 19, 2009, at Summer Place Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. A native of Johnstown, Pennsylvania and a resident of Beaumont since 1955, Ada was a homemaker.

Survivors include her sons, Jeffrey Turner and his wife Peggy of Sour Lake and Mark Turner of Beaumont; daughter, Gina Bankhead and her husband Stacy of China and Erin Weathers and her husband Keith of Pinewood; and sisters, Mildred Bollmeyer, Mary Ellen Keyser and Bernadette Blank.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 24, 2009, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church with interment to follow at China Cemetery under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont. A rosary will be recited at 5:00 p.m., Friday, October 23, 2009, at the mortuary.
