Anthony “Tony” Guidry, Jr., 73, of Beaumont, died Tuesday, October 20, 2009, at Memorial Hermann Baptist Beaumont Hospital. A native of Iota, Louisiana and a forty-one year resident of Beaumont, Tony was a retired fireman with the Beaumont Fire Department.

He enjoyed listening to French music, playing bingo, coaching little league baseball and spending time with his grandchildren, which was his greatest joy.

His wife, Betty Rae Guidry preceded him in death.

Survivors include his daughter, Christine McConnell and her husband Coby; son, Stephen Guidry and his wife Vicki all of Beaumont; grandchildren, Hollianne Guidry, Jacob Guidry and Cole McConnell; sister, Carolyn Boudreaux of Baton Rouge, Lousiana; and his close and dear friend, Carolyn Chapman.

A memorial service will be 3:00 p.m., Friday, October 23, 2009, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont. A private committal service will be held at Broussard’s Crematorium.
