Palma Oneta LaPoint, 65, of Beaumont, died Friday, October 16, 2009, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont.

She was born March 13, 1944, in Beaumont to Willie Naomi Shaffer LeJune and Bertrand LeJune. Mrs. LaPoint enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and will be greatly missed by her loved ones.

Survivors include her husband, Alton LaPoint, Sr. of Beaumont; sons, Alton “Jody” LaPoint, Jr. and his wife Mary and Jerrod LaPoint and his wife Christy, all of Vidor; daughter, Michele Faraci and her husband John of Beaumont; seven grandchildren, Elizabeth Gray, Halie LaPoint, Ashley Dishman and her husband Casey, Kayla Faraci, Miranda Burleson, Marissa Burleson, and Alec Burleson; one great grandson, Preston Dishman; and sister, Shirley Jones of Liberty.

She is preceded is death by her parents; brother, David LeJune; and sister, Patricia Kittell. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 20, 2009, at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont. A gathering of her family and friends will be from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Monday, October 19, 2009, at Broussard’s.
