Linda Linscomb Landry, 67, of Lumberton, Texas, passed away Thursday, October 15, 2009, at her residence. Born in Chicago, Illinois on December 21, 1941, and raised in Port Arthur, Texas, she attended Thomas Jefferson High School and graduated from Port Neches Groves High School. An avid horse rider since early childhood, Linda won hundreds of awards, passing her passion for riding on to her husband and two daughters. Linda was preceded in death by her husband of forty-five years, Gene Paul Landry.
She is survived by her children, Jeannie and Alex Bando of Beaumont, Julie and Jerry Don Atkins of Lumberton; grandchildren, Ashley and Jair Galloso, Trevor Reed, and Shelby Atkins; and great granddaughter, Isabella Galloso.
Linda’s funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, October 19, 2009, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin in Beaumont, with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. A gathering of her family and friends will be from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 pm. Sunday, October 18, 2009, at Broussard’s.
