Jammie Anderson, 76, of Anahuac died October 12, 2009 at Methodist Willowbrook Hospital in Houston.

A native of Eunice, LA., Jammie had lived in the Anahuac area for sixty years. He worked as a farm laborer, a truck driver and also as a construction worker for Edmonds Construction Company.

A Mass of Christian burial will be  1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 17, 2009 at Our Lady of Light Catholic Church, Rt. 2 Box 1 F in Anahuac with burial to follow in Richardson Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at the church.

Jammie is survived by his wife, Ellarene Anderson; daughters, Kathalene Anderson and special friend Virbes Kirkwood, Ella Anderson all of Anahuac, Dora Raymond of Beaumont; brothers, Christopher Anderson and his wife Betty, Ernest Anderson all of Hitchcock; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and numerous relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Louvenia Anderson; daughters, Louvenia Anderson, Jimmy Lynn Anderson; and step-daughter, Ella Faye Alexander.
