Loriece Ozio, 76, of Beaumont, died Wednesday October 7, 2009, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont.

She was born on April 12, 1933 in Beaumont, Texas to Gladys and Mark Bertelsman.  Loriece was a life long resident of the Beaumont area and retired from Wallace Company, Inc. She spent many hours volunteering at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church. Loriece loved spending time with her grandchildren, her flower gardens and enjoyed playing bingo.

Survivors include her sons, David Ozio and his wife Lisa and Mark Ozio and his wife Theresa all of Beaumont; grandchildren, Heather and her husband, Shaun Roberts, Haleigh Ozio and Ryan Ozio.

Loriece was preceded in death by her husband, Elwood Ozio; brother, Gene Bertelsman; and sister, Helen Marek.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 10, 2009, at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A Christian Vigil will be 6:00 p.m. Friday, October 9, 2009, at Broussard’s.
