Ernie Paul “Big E” Haynes, 50,  passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at his residence in Mauriceville, Texas.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, October 10, 2009 at Broussard’s in Nederland with Brother Leroy Kipp officiating. Interment will take place Saturday afternoon at 3:00 P.M. in Low’s Family Cemetery, Burkeville, Texas. A gathering of family and friends will be Friday evening from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the mortuary.

Big E as he was known by many, lived in the Mid-County and surrounding area all of his life. He worked as an operator for Firestone Rubber in Orange. If it had anything to do with the outdoors, Ernie was involved in it. He enjoyed to hunt, fish, ride his 4 wheeler,  bow hunt and go camping, just to mention a few.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Aleathea Haynes Bryce Tomlinson and his grandparents.

Ernie is survived by his wife Delena Low “Sue Sue” Haynes of Mauriceville; parents, David and Pauline Haynes, Sr., of Nederland; brothers David Haynes and wife Patti and Tim Haynes and wife Candy all of Nederland; Joel Haynes and wife Lori of Bridge City; niece, Maddison Low of Mauriceville; step-son, Todd Smith of Mauriceville; uncle’s Paul Rodgers and wife Jayne and Roy Rodgers all from Sour Lake; aunt, Joann Bailey and husband Don of Missouri City; parents-in-law, Burnett and Irma Low of Burkeville, Texas and a host of family and friends.
