Marlies Gillette, 83, of Beaumont, died Monday, October 5, 2009, at Dubuis Hospital of Beaumont.

Born January 25, 1926, in Wattenscheid, Germany to Elizabeth Raabe and Hubert Breit, Mrs. Gillette has been a resident of the Beaumont area since 1998.

Survivors include her sons, William James “Bill” Gillette, Robert George Gillette, and Don Harrison Gillette; daughter, Juanita Elizabeth Gillette Firestone; seven grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

Her husband, Harrison Gillette, preceded her in death.

Her memorial service will be 3:00 p.m. Friday, October 9, 2009, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. An Enichment will be held at Arlington National Cemetery in Washington, D.C. 

Mrs. Gillette was very special to her family as they were to her; she will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
