Earl Howard Hartman 
December 13, 1926 - September 28, 2009

E. Howard Hartman, Jr. 82, of Beaumont died September 28, 2009 at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth.  A native of Houston and resident of the area for many years, Mr. Hartman was part owner of G & W Marine for twenty-five years. He was a United States Navy Veteran having served during World War II and the Korean War.  He also was a die hard Dallas Cowboy fan. After retiring, he turned his hobby of woodworking into a successful business and taught classes at a local youth career school.  He was also treasurer of Southeast Texas Woodworkers Association.

 

Survivors include his wife, Betty Hartman of Beaumont; daughter, Shelia Collins of Houston; son, Rick Hartman and his wife Chrissie of Beaumont; brother, Richard Hartman and his wife Helen of Houston; grandchildren, Melissa Hartman, Jamie Talbert, Chad Hartman, Brett Hartman, John Kelley, and Christopher Collins; great grandchildren, Keema Hartman and Trey Talbert; and many other loving family members.

 

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 2, 2009 at Trinity United Methodist Church followed by burial at Forest Lawn Mausoleum under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont.  A gathering of family and friends will be Thursday evening, October 1, 2009 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the mortuary.
