Connie Martel Jetsel, 67, of China passed away on September 25, 2009 at home.  Connie was born in Villa Rica, Georgia to James and Maureen Sauls and moved to Southeast Texas as a young child.   She worked as an office manager at Brinks in Beaumont, where she retired after twenty-five years of service. 

Connie is survived by her son, Floyd Anthony Martel of China; daughters, Lisa Martel Yellot and husband Jackie of Silsbee, and Dana and Darla Jetsel of China; five grandchildren, Chris Fore, Tracy Fore, Presley Martel, Brittany Jetsel, and Austin Martel; sisters, Donna Craigen and Phyllis German of Hamshire; and brother, Randy Caruthers of Fannett; nine nieces and nephews; ten great nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 28, 2009 at Forest Lawn Mausoleum with burial at Forest Lawn Cemetery under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont.  A gathering of family and friends will be from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon on Monday at the mortuary.
