Patrick Olley Rocknic, 71, of Nederland passed away Sunday, September 27, 2009 at his residence.   A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Nederland with Rev. Dan Malain officiating. Interment will follow Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves under the direction of Broussard’s in Nederland. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5 to 8 pm Monday, September 28, 2009 with a Christian Vigil at 6:30 pm at St. Charles Catholic Church in Nederland with Monsignor Kenneth R. Greig officiating.   Mr. Rocknic was a native of Port Arthur and lifelong resident of Nederland. He was a retired operator at DuPont and was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church in Nederland. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.    Mr. Rocknic is survived by his wife Maxine Rocknic of Nederland; daughter, Jodi Kieschnick and husband Stuart of Nederland; son, David Rocknic and wife Teresa of New Jersey; mother-in-law, Ina Mae Arsement of Nederland; grandchildren, Madison and Anna Grace Kieschnik and Jake and Delbert Rocknic. He was preceded in death by his parents Mike and Anna Rocknic and his godparents Olley and Lena Trahan.   Serving as pallbearers will be Trey Smith, Travis Smith, Ryan Tinch, Jake Landry, James McClammy, Charles Graham, Bruce Tinch and Bruce Smith.   In lieu of flowers donations in Mr. Rocknic’s memory may be directed to St. Charles Catholic Church ACTS group 130 Hardy Ave. Nederland, Texas 77627 or The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center PO Box 4486 Houston, Texas 77210-4486.
