Ralph Nobis, 86, of Stowell died September 26, 2009, at his residence. A native of San Antonio and resident of Stowell for the past fifteen years, he was a United States Navy veteran having served during World War II. He retired after thirty-seven years with Southwestern Bell Telephone as a service technician.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 28, 2009, at Broussard’s Chapel with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery.  A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife, Raetta Nobis of Stowell; daughters, Joyce Hargraves and her husband Wayne and Trudy White all of Stowell, Dianne Tanner and her husband Joe of Justin and Cathy Beesley and her husband Grant of Weatherford; stepsons, Jeffery Vayon and his wife Janet and Zane Vayon all of Winnie; eight grandchildren; sixteen great- grandchildren; seventeen great-great-grandchildren and numerous relatives and friends.
